Default "Legendary Heroes"

Ok, so i got to thinking the other day how they never got round to giving Prophecies or Factions heroes after they came up with the idea of them. Then i was thinking who could we use as heroes?

So heres my idea

Legendary Heroes

You can only have one Legendary Hero in your party at a time.
  • Prince Rurik - The Original Hero of Guild Wars
  • Master Togo - you see his power in the Bonus Mission Pack but you never get to know him through factions
  • Komir - Yes all she does is stand there.

*SPOILER DONT READ IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE STORY LINE OF ANY OF THE GAMES*

Now i am aware that all of thos have died at some point in the game lmao, but we still get them in the missions if you go back to re do them, so why not have them as heroes?

This is probably the only downside of the idea.. Yea it's a pretty big one, but i think just for old times sake, it would be awesome to have prince rurik fighting with you. Probably for places like Tahnkai Temple where the ghost of Togo rests and places where they are in the missions with you, he should be called Canthan Ritualist or something, same for Rurik and the last mission

I think they should be used as an endgame reward, maybe after attaining Guardian of that specific campaign

Well thats about it, feel free to add suggestions/flame

add them for the lulz factor

Honestly, I don't think that would be much of an incentive. I'd personally hate to have any of them in my party, especially Rurik.
I do like the idea of some sort of reward for those who obtain a title like that.

Why bother? Not saying bad idea, just curious as to the point. Got enough warrior heroes, could us another para/rit but 2 is enough, and its a bit of a plot hole for them to exist

I'd rather have more BMP ideas but I want to climb into the role of Rurik during the Searing leading up to the point where he takes you out of Ascalon.

It would screw the lore up too much. Now, if we were allowed to add companions that span across the whole game (Devona, Aidan, Eve, etc.) as Heroes, I'd be down for it. Since heroes are limited to three, it wouldn't mess anything up--just add more aesthetic options. Just replace the henchman name to Tyian <profession>.

Now this would be an amazing idea. I can imagine playing as Rurik with Devona, Cynn, Eve, Aidan, Mhenlo and Warmaster Tydus as allies. Add in a 7th ally called Novice <profession> who has the same primary and look as your character, donned with starter armor. This bonus mission could be accessed in Lion's Arch and only available to Prophecies characters. Weapons earned would be called Ascalonian or Rin <weapon>.

Legends.... Koss is a freaking legend
And what would they offer? Another sign of how pro they aren't.
Seriously I could see it now the pm's "dewd i haz legend heroes i r so cool come look at dem"

You don't need Legendary heroes. Normal heroes are good enough.

First, remove the hero cap. Then give us heroes. It's ridiculous that we have 25 heroes to choose from and yet we can only use three of them.

Those are dead.
And NPCs that are already henchmen can't absolute be Heroes.

Want REALLY legendary heroes?
- Evennia
- The Dopplelganger.
- Prophecies and Factions instructors that are not Heroes nor dead.
-- Elementalist Aziure
-- Necromaner Munne.
-- Duke Barradin
-- Ang the Ephemeral
-- Etc...
- A Forgotten one.
- A Tengu.

Althought there is a way I would accept Rurik, Shiro, Varesh and Khilbrom as Heroes:
- Get Razah.
- Go back to the Heart of Abaddon.
- You'll find them there. Once Abaddon is dead, they are free of its taint, but they are still trapped.
- The Envoys will appear. They explain that although they were tainted, they still made bad things, so they must pay. They also say that if you fight in the name of the gods for them, you may be able to free them.
- You fight the Envoys one by one. For each envoy you defeat, you free of of them.
- You get them as normal level 20 heroes, and they become normal humans again (well, more something like Razah) and have the same power as other heroes, since they are stripped of the powers granted by Abbadon.
That would fit the lore.

Herald Demrikov would be a Warrior/Paragon/Monk
Emissary Heleyne would be a Necro/Mesmer/Ele
Courier Torivos would be a Ranger/Ritualist.
Messenger Vetaura would be an Assassin/Dervish
And they would be insanely overpowered, since you'll fight them one by one.
Each one would be immune to a type of damage, two conditions and one type of skill: And, even you'll have to fight them one by one, you'll have to beat them all without leaving the area to get the heroes.

Kormir can't be a Hero, since she became the Goddess of Truth.
